That did occur to me...why if she was a single mum would she go from hong kong to germany! Think i need to do some more digging....although mary is not alive anymore so my be tricky :/

But the Army wouldnt take the child to Germany with the parents if they were unmarried .

Our ex SIL was Army and am aware of the way they worked !

Hmmm thats a prob, the only name i have is the mothers name so im hoping she will have had the same name :/ She wasnt married when she had the child so im assuming the child would hve been registered in her name mong wai sum

well...my father in law just told me his mother had a child before him, a girl. She was born in hong kong, taken to germany (we think army) and taken into care but we dont know why?! My father in law was born 1966 so im assuming maybe between 1960 and 1965....this is literally all i have, the little girl was named lisa.

I know its not much t go on...just wondered if anyone had any ideas where you would start with something like this. I am going to see if i can do a bit of digging for more info, just wanted to know if its possible :)

Was this when Hong Kong was still British ? if so the birth may be on the consular records .

Hiya...trying to find someone who ws born in hong kong and then taken to germany where she was taken into care....any ideas where to start?? Dont have tvery much info which makes it harder!
