I would consider getting the birth cert if you wish to confirm/discount him. Otherwise, he has middle initial J so you might try 192.com - there are only 10 Raymond J Jeffery births in England after 1916 so you are in with a chance! |

If your grandfather and Raymond's mother never married are you sure that the child's surname would be Jeffery? It would be more usual at that time for the child to be registered in the mother's name (unless your grandfather went to the register office with the mother and claimed paternity). |
