Richard,

We can only go by what you put on this board.

We do not know that it is a spur of the moment request.

We are trying to protect possibly living people.

Unless you state your connection we do not know how you are related to them, or even if you are.

Would you really want a string of people emailing you wanting the full story?

We do not want the full story, just that your request is 'legitimate'.

Just stating that questions are arising about someone's true father could be by anyone wanting to find the dirt out about another person for unknown, possibly malicious, purposes.

Please consider how you would feel if you saw that request and it was not posted by you but by a person unknown.

As you have used the site on many occasions then you should have realised that it is best to check back in during the hour after posting to see if your request needed any clarification. Brummiejan asked you what your connection was, but you did not leave any reply on here.

My Mother died in January, and I found it best not to write anything to anyone as I could be unnecessarily rude and curt because I felt hurt.
Your Mother-in-law should have known who the Father was.
In fact, perhaps I should not be writing this as it reads rather harshly.

I wish to add this is my brother-in-law where talking about, my mum-in-law just recently passed on at the age of 81 (funeral this friday the 8th)...and some of the comments that people make on this site such as reggie and his or her use of the word shameful... should hold there tongue and ask politely the full story, whether by private message or otherwise, the word shameful comes to mind regarding the posts and harse words made by people on this site, and i will not be signing back up for this site as its not the first time people have hacked me off with such remarks, under the circumstances of what me and the family have been going through the past few weeks, with mums loss I feel this is my time to vent...so i missed a few bits it was a spur of the moment request made by david and his brother BOTH MY BROTHER-IN-LAWS......I will strongly recomment people I know on this site choice a people friendly site at the end of their subsciption.......people stop responding to this tread, to the helpful people who took time out to give advise of a useful and polite nature thank you.

The only person who could answer this is the mother.........and, if alive, she is 81.

If you were this man , how would you feel if you read your post? Personally, I think it is shameful

His birth was registered in the name you give........end of trail.

Richard, you need to be very careful about posting such things relating to living people. You need to say what your connection is, and if the person involved has given permission for you to post this.
Furthermore your query is pretty unclear.
