I am trying to find anything about the above. John was born in Stoke staffs in 1797, though some census seem to indicate1802, and married Elizabeth Dix in 1827. I believe that they had a daughter Emma in 1828. Can anyone fill in any detail from the census as I have only basic to go on.John died I believe in 1876. |

I have used family search and knew that emmas father was John wilcox from the married certificate. She was born in Stoke. |

1841*The ages of people over 15 years old were usually rounded down to the nearest 5 years. For example, someone who was actually 24 years would have their age listed as 20, and someone who was actually 27 years old would have their age listed as 25. |
