David Report 5 Apr 2013 21:52

My great uncle, Robert Serjeant, was born in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia in 1891. He ultimately died in what I understand was a mining accident at Grand Forks, British Columbia, Canada, on the 24th October 1933. I am trying to find out the circumstances of his death.

Just a suggestion, but if you change your title to "Canadian mining accidents" you may get one of our Canadian members to help you. They will have access to far more info than we know of.

Or just include Canada in your title

I have been in contact with the local museum in Grand Forks and they have sent me a newspaper cutting from 1933 providing all the information and circumstances associated with my great uncle's death.

Thanks to everyone for their help and advice.
