- there was a different query earlier this week. Although someone else could find the reference on Scotlandspeople, even by following their instructions, it didn't work for me :-0

I keyed in John Driscoll Statutory Deaths born 1907 plus or minus a year and did a search.
I was then given a number of people with the name.
I knew that you were looking for the Greenock area so I then narrowed it down.
You will be able to get a copy of his death on line

John Driscoll died in 1935 aged 28 in the Greenock East District.
His Death as available on line

Thanks. I have searched Www. Cwgc but to no avail. I will have another go at Scotland's People.

Presumably you've looked on Scotlandspeople?

With a free search 1911 - 2005, there are no records for John D, but
30 marriages and 13 deaths as plain John Driscoll.

As you probably know - Scotlandspeople is free to search, by pay to view - no subscriptions :-0

Is John listed on anyone elses tree on this site? If so, have you contacted them?

If he died during WW2 or then look for him at www.cwgc.org

He would have been too young for service during WW1 but could have served during WW2.

Researching:
Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

John D Driscoll 1907, born in Greenock Renfrewshire. Brother Thomas 1913-1980. Parents James and Helen.
I have found these in the 1911 Scottish census but can't find any more information. Any suggestions as to where I can look? Thought maybe he died in action.
