I have now discovered that Lillan was indeed the sister of Betty and not the daughter

Reggie - It is not insensitive as i didnt say that i knew she was from another father but i just said im not sure. only reason i am not sure is because i couldnt find a lillian goldstein on search but its possible since she may have married then her name would change. It would only be insensitive if i said she definately has a different. Thanks for your reply just the same

Adrianus C Hartevald born 1921 in Holland on the other hand is easier to locate because he was a seaman. Is this his occupation on their marriage certificate?

She is on the London Electoral Registers as Betty Hartevald in Stepney until 1958 living with or near to various other Goldsteins.

In 1949 and 1950 she is with a Lillie Goldstein and in 1958 with Abraham and Bessie Goldstein. These are possibly her brother and sister and Bessie may be Abraham's wife. There is a marriage in Stepney in 1947 of Abraham Goldstein to Bessie Mendelofsky but this is all purely guesswork on my part.

If you mean her birth family, you will firstly have to determine where she was born

What is the place of birth as per her death cert? Of course, that is only 'as known' to the informant, and may not be accurate.

It is a little insensitive to speculate about the second daughter's father's identity.........the lady may prefer that you didn't air that on this insecure site

Betty Goldstein born in April 1917 from either Poland or the Netherlands. She came to England during WW2 and she married Adrianus C Harteveld in 1942 they had Anne Harteveld in 1942 and another daughter called Lillian/Lilian (not sure if same father)

Adrianus was deported from UK not long after the birth of Anne, Betty lived in London Spitalfields. Betty died in March 1992

Her Father was Morris Goldstein

I cannot find more info or any family members of Betty

Please help
