May I correct the statement about the Probate

He left the amount recorded........no way can anyone know to whom without seeing the Will

The person named is the executor............NOT the legatee

Re the possible sister, there is no Hall birth apart from Irene's listed on FreeBMD with mmn Rome, except one in 1950 in Manchester.

Thomasina and Samuel were my great aunt and uncle i can just remember them my cousin told me they had two daughter but she couldnt remember what they were called,they were married in Sheffield ,i know Thomasina worked in a home for the deaf and her sister Catherine lived in Sheffield

Why do you think Irene had a sister?

I wonder why they married out of area?
