Yes it looks like he was with Sarah and then Elizabeth. I think they both called theirs sons Francis just to complicate things. Also his father John Bovey married a Sarah Jeboult. Now to see if i can find Johns father. |

My 'take' on it is that he was married to Sarah, but at some stage after 1881 census, he left her, and took up with Eliza(beth) , with whom he fathered more children. |

many thanks for all your replies. I have my granddads birth certificate (Samuel Bovey born 28 April 1887) His father is Francis Bovey (waterside labourer) and his mother is Eliza Bovey formerly Harrison living at 7 Dobbs Cross. |
