Hi
Are there any indexes available for BDMs in Brooklyn, Kings, or Jersey, United States.

I am trying to obtain a death cert of Edward Richard Perks (born abt 1831) who died 29 Dec 1883 and was buried at Greenwood cemetery on 2 Jan 1884. This info come from Greenwood cemetery. He died from an accidental fall so wonder if there was anything in a newspaper. I have tried to obtain a death cert for him but searchs come back negative (City of New York Municipal Archives) Edward was born in England married Sarah Riley Taylor 1863 in Birmingham.

Also trying to find the birth of his son Edward Richard Perks. Have managed to obtain a death certficate for him for 16 Feb 1876 at Kings, New York. He was aged 3 yrs 29 days at date of death, birth was listed as Brooklyn. He is also buried at Greenwood cemetery. I have tried to obtain a birth cert for this child but that has also come back negative (City of New York, Municipal Archives).

I would also love to find out if there are any more children from the marriage of Edward Richard Perks to Sarah Riley Taylor. They emigrated from Birmingham, Warwickshire to America. The first instance of them in USA is in the Gopsill's Jersey City directory 1867. Sarah is a milliner. Edward was a chemist. It looks like Edward was in Brooklyn from 1871-1884.

I would love any help towards finding more on this couple in the USA.

Regards
Irene
