I am trying to find out what happened to my "half cousin" mentioned above. Athlea was born in Durban, South Africa, in about 1922, the eldest daughter of my father's half sister, Garnet McGarr ( nee Davies). Athlea married Myrick Niven in the 1940s but then divorced in the early 1950s. I believe she remarried and emigrated to New Zealand in the late 1950s/ early 1960s. I wonder if anyone has any information about her in New Zealand. I believe she passed away about ten to fifteen years ago.

It's hard to tell what this is saying. PRSP = predeceased spouse, but I'm not sure whether it means Joseph died 1961 or Garnet did, and which one's estate this is about. It seems as if it is Garnet's estate, in 1967.

Okay, figuring it out ... this is about Joseph's estate -- S SP = surviving spouse.

so the previous record has to be about Garnet's death and estate, and it sounds like they were unable to trace family of Garnet when she died.
