I am researching Alex Moreland born 1879, married to Mary Jane Keenan. They have 3 children, John, Andrew and Elizabeth He was a pig farmer in Grey Abbey. His father was John, I believe his mother was Margaret Atcheson.. I know that Mary Jane and Alex were married about 1902. They lived in Muirkirk Scotland for some time, Alex worked in the mines.

Thanks for al the info! The Andrew that died in 1937. would you think he is the brother of Alex or uncle? I have found info for both. How can I apply for the records and will it show more information; parents, wife?
The Keenans raises more questions. I have info from the Keenan side but I am missing the mother of Samuel Keenan born about 1856. Have the marriage record for Eliza and Samuel and his father is listed as Samuel.

On Samuel and Eliza's marriage cert, he occupation is labourer. It is interesting about the embroider, my grandmother was an embroider. She was taught by the Moreland/Keenan family.

I'd check out those death certificates, maybe one of the children was the informant

Try Samuels first as he is likely to have been the informant on his wifes death certificate
