Find Ancestors

Ethal May Gilston was born abt 1893 not sure where but ? Leeds.

She married William Rushworth on 17/05/1919, The record states her father was William Gilston who worked as a labourer. She was living at 15 Milville Rd, Workhouse Street Leeds at time of marriage and was aged 26yrs.

I tried to find her on the 1911 census but failed. I do not have access to ancestry or Findmypast. I did look on familysearch but couldn't be sure which one was her if any.

Please could someone see if they can help me. I wonder whether an electoral register look up would help as I have her address in 1919. Perhaps it will show who else was living there?

Thank you very much for finding her for me ArgyllGran. That is very interesting. Williams sister Alice married someone called Clarence Shaw and his mother was Eliza Hague. So I wonder if there is any connection with the two Hague families.?

First things first I would like to find out who Ethel Mays mother was.

I don't see an Alice in William's family in 1851, 1861, 1871

Nor can I see any marriage of an Alice Gilston(e) to a Clarence Shaw in England/Wales.
