Find Ancestors

Hi,everybody.Looking for info' on family of Gwyneth Blakey,b.1926,Gateshead.She married William H.Crowe in N.E.Durham (probably Hartlepool) in 1947.Unable to find more at present.I think her mothers maiden name was Williamson.

According to FreeBMD, it looks as if she had four sons, born Durham and Gateshead, though possibly one died in infancy.

The tree has no details for Gwyneth apart from their marriage and her DOB.

If this is the correct death for her husband, Gwyneth could have remarried, or still be alive.

I don't see any sign of a marriage after 1987, nor of her death as Crowe.
She may have died very recently, of course.

ER's show two women of that name, one with the middle initial D, who is about the right age, but the people with the same surname at the same address don't seem to link with Terry's Gwyneth.
The other one is too young.

She may have gone to live abroad.

Sorry.Meant to say looking for ancestors.Yes she did go to South Africa after her marriage to William H Crowe,but as I say I was more interested in her ancestors.

Her birth certificate is probably needed Terry.

As there's no immediately obvious marriage for a male Blakey and a female Williamson then it's quite possible her mother had been previously married (but it's the mother's maiden name that goes on the birth record).

As Gwyneth was born not that long after the end of WW1 then her mother might have been a war widow and then subsequently remarried.

Of course there may be some other explanation but it's worth bearing in mind.

It might be worth purchasing Gwyneth's Marriage Certificate as that would name her father, if known. With that information, we can attempt to back track to her ancestors/parents

Hi,everyone,
I have info' from family member,that Gwyneth married William Crowe at Windynook
Church,Felling in 1947.Her Father was David Nicholson Blakey ,b.Cardiff and he married Margaret ( Elizabeth?) Williams in Pontypridd,in 1919.Possible Father for David was Ninian Blakey from Papa Westray,Orkneys.Unfortunately very few dates to
verify these facts. Any more info' would be greatly accepted.
