Thanks Gins, Dea and Chris for all the help you have given me. The last pieces of information you have given me all look very interesting. Hopefully some day I will manage to get back further.

All the best

I have just come back from the library having done a bit more research into this problem.

This is what I have found.
1841 not sure were Jonathan and Elizabeth were living I could not read the name. I could not find Joseph with a Leah.

Joseph and Leah married on the 29th July 1833 in Leeds. The marriage cert did say that she was a widow but not sure if this referred to both of them or just her. (This was online) Her name was Rushforth but I could not read her fathers surname.

On the 1841 there was also a Joseph Rushworth ( aged 50) born about the right time living with a George aged 30. Also Joseph is a cloth dresser. The only problem is there is no Leah.

This one in 1841 living in Woodhouse Wraghorn

Name: Joseph Rushworth
Age: 50
Estimated birth year: abt 1791
Gender: Male
Where born: Yorkshire, England

Civil parish: Leeds Town
Hundred: Leeds Borough
County/Island: Yorkshire
Country: England

Street Address:

Occupation: View image

Registration district: Leeds
Sub-registration district: Leeds West
Neighbors: View others on page
Household Members: Name Age
Joseph Rushworth 50 Occ: Cloth Dresser
Geos Rushworth 30

On 1851 Jospeh and Leah Rushworth were living at 356 West End Place. He was a Cloth dresser and she was ? shroud maker. Jonathan and Elizabeth were living in Lion Street North Leeds.

On the 1861 Jonathan and Elizabeth Rushforth/rushworth were living at 132 West End Place, Leeds
next door to them were a Joseph Rushforth and a Leah Rushforth. Joseph was a Cloth dresser and aged 72. Leah Rushforth was aged ? 82yrs. Is this my missing Jospeh?? He would be about the right age.

Leah died 1862 in leeds
Joseph died 1864 in Leeds.

If the information I had been given on a previous occasion is correct then Joseph Rushworth married an Ann Holmes in 1813 and she died in ?1839 which would make the marriage to Leah wrong.

Can anyone please help me with any other information about Leah, Ann or Joseph death which might help me which marriage is correct.

Leah was married before but I cant find a marriage for her. Please could someone help me with this? Or perhaps help me work out what her maiden name was?.

Thank you for your help

The address on the 1841 posted above is Woodhouse Wraghorn. From google, it appears that Wraghorn is close to Woodhouse which is just north of Leeds City Centre these days. A small hamlet or area then by Leeds.
