You can't find the Electoral Rolls for the period on Ancestry because Ancestry doesn't have them

As for what they look like, well, it's a list of names on a sheet

I'll try to send a copy of one of them to your inbox. Check messages

As already said -
Greyghost has posted the Electoral Roll entries for James and Gladys in 1921 to 1924, and 1928-29 in the first post at the top of this page.

Greyghost found them on FindMyPast. All the info from FMP is posted on this page of your thread.

As explained on page 2 of this thread, ELECTORAL ROLLS for 1920's - early 30's Notts are to be found on Find My Past

1922/24/24 and 1928/29 for James Leonard and Gladys Wilson are posted top of this page

Ancestry probate records, if that is where you're looking, don't cover 1968 when Gladys died - use the free site - https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk to search for probate records. Make sure you highlight the correct years

This is Gladys'
https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/Calendar?surname=wilson&yearOfDeath=1968&page=13#calendar

Ancestry coverage - National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations) 1858-1966 and 1973-1995

Re Electoral Rolls:

Greyghost has already shown that James Leonard and Gladys are on the 1921 - 24 Electoral Rolls.

You said earlier:

"It has mentioned that James Leonard Wilson and Gladys Wilson are living at
14 Taunton Road West Bridgeford.Nottingham
Eclectroles 1921 1922 9123 1924
I would love to know if it is the Famiy living there
But I cannot find them."

Electoral Rolls do NOT show every member of a family - only those eligible to vote. Therefore, only James and Gladys.

When you tired to "find them" at your local library - do you mean you couldn't find the Electoral Rolls, or that you found the Electoral Rolls but couldn't find James and Gladys on them?

Did you ask library staff for help?

Hi
Yes I have the marriage of Vera Cooke my Aunt and her husband James Barry Wilson Marriage 1946 Nottingham His Father James Leonard Wilson

I just wondered if it is possible how to find the Electroles for 1921 1922 1923 1924 please
I would imagine they could be found on Ancestry Co uk
But I couldn’t find them in the Local Library today

For James Leonard Wilson and Gladys Wilson

Thankyou
Olive

ErikaH Report 11 Feb 2019 17:23

I guessed someone would have, but I thought I'd just emphasise that 1910 is not accurate

Is there any indication that Olive has obtained a copy of Vera's marriage cert to establish the husband's age and his father's name

EDIT

I see now that she has and the father was James Leonard, so I really can't understand why she can't accept the 1920 birth which is CLEARLY the right man - and, by default, the 1999 death and burial

The birth cert will include the address at the time

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 11 Feb 2019 17:16

Yes, I suggested James Barry Schofield Wilson on 25 Jan @ 10:13.

Looking back through the thread, I'm not sure if that was discounted or not.

As I explained before, there MAY NOT BE a Probate for Gladys.
