Member Since: February 2017 Posts: 21 Send Message	Should have mentioned on initial post, that James Kibble - Wire & Metal Merchant Glasgow, and wife Mary Ferrier, lived in Paisley Glasgow. James is buried in St. Andrews E. Church Cem. One of their Sons -John, had the Kibble Glass Palace built which is now in the Glasgow Botanical Gardens. Pauline

Member Since: February 2017 Posts: 21 Send Message	What we have found out so far is- The Parents of James Kibble 1777-1856 (Metal Merchant Glasgow) were Thomas Kibble (writer) and Sarah Martin. They lived in Abbey Paisley, Glasgow Scotland. James Death Certificate confirms this. Father of Mary Ferrier was William Ferrier who was Born in Scotland 1751 and was a Merchant in Grenada. No more information on him or on her Mother. James Kibble and Mary Ferrier married 20/12/1801 Middle Church Paisley. Renfrewshire Scotland. They first lived in Kingston and later Park Place, Paisley, Glasgow. Scotland. Children of James & Mary: Thomas. 12/7/1802 Margaret. 13/1/1804 William. 17/2/1806 James William 12/12/1807 - 18/5/1844 Married Sarah Hervey 16/9/1839 Elizabeth. 1808 ? Married James Hervey 27/11/1849 Thomas. 16/5/1810 - 7/12/1841 Married Margaret Dalziel 11/6/1839 Sarah. 8/2/1812 Robert. 12/8/1814. Married Eliza Thomson McCloud. 22/8/1837. Robert, Eliza, and son James left Scotland and went to live in Australua approx. 1840 George A. F. 1822. Left Scotland and went to Australia (with Robert) George married Mary McGeorge in Sydney Australia. George married twice, and had approx. 14 Children. Mary - 13/18/1816 John - 1819 (Kibble Palace Gardens, Glasgow Botanical Gardens) James Kibble 31/10/1777 - 19/08/1856 is Buried St. Andrews Ep. Church Glasgow If anyone can help me with further information it would be greatly appreciated. Particularly on the Mary & Father William Ferrier Family. Pauline (Aust.)

Member Since: February 2017 Posts: 21 Send Message	Update to the above, we now know Sarah Kibble 1812 died prior to 1824, as there was another girl born to James & Mary Ferrier 1824/25 who they also called Sarah. This Sarah married a Richard Black in Carlton Glasgow in 1857. We have not been able to find death certificates for Margaret & William, however we presume they died prior to 1856 and left no children as there is no mentioned of them in James Kibble Will, when all others were. :-S

	GAFK I have been tracing Australian Kibbles in Trove recently and imagine that George A F Kibble of Denman is relevant to you. I am about to engage a professional researcher in Scotland to investigate the 18th century Paisley.Kibble family for me, so if you are still interested I may eventually have something more to tell you.
