Thank you for all the info, I do have some of it. Very kind of you to send it all. Over the years so many people in the familyl have said there is a Spanish connection and it does appear to be a Spanish surname.

The farthest I have got to is Ann's parents - James Santry (Sentry) married to Frances (Fanny) Johnston 23.11.1814, Portsea. It changes from Santry to Santy
