hi
could anyone find me the above couple on the 1851 census in burnley ? or even the 1861 census please. smith smith was born in burnley in 1814 and mary salmon was born in 1819 in burnley. thanks

thanks for that. trying to find what happened to cain aldemus smith (arbanas ) and Helen/ellen smith . Know that Joseph, elizabeth and hannah gotmarried. Cant seem to find a death ormarriage for cain aldemus or Helen/ellen .

looks like either they are staying with another family or they both died then as no sign on census, but cant find a death record .

thinkive found cain aldemus as urbanos dying in 1851 . They were catholic and he isdown asliving on rodney street aged 6 in 1851 so think its him. :-D

can anyone see what may have happened to elizabeth smith who married joseph poulton . I notice he died in 1878 aged 39 but no sign of death of elizabeth and could not see her marrying again . :-S

BARROWFORD.
DEATH OF MR. JOHN POULTON - The death took place on Wednesday morning of Mr. John Poulton, of 86 Gisbum Road at the age 64 years. The deceased gentleman had not enjoyed good health of late. He was for many years a weaver Victoria Mill, Barrowford, and was of a quiet disposition. He was a member of the Lamb Club. The Funeral will be tomorrow at Burnley Cemetery.
