Find Ancestors

I have Mary (middle name Ann not shown) Wiggins, together with husband Edward and daughter Alice in the 1911 census RG14/367. The marriage has lasted 13 years. In 1901 (RG13/41/80/10) Edward's wife is shown as Elizabeth. The ages (approx.) and birth locations correspond with 1911. I know that names are often used 'loosely' in census records, but....
I've checked to see if any Elizabeth married an Edward Wiggins, but nothing. I then had the bright idea of checking the electoral register for the address (26 Wilton Road, Hammersmith) to see who Edward was shown to be with in 1901, but realised she wouldn't be included.
Any suggestions as to any other way that I might verify that Elizabeth is Mary, or am I being over pedantic?
