A tree on Ancestry has a photo of the gravestone of Adam Oliver died 1848 aged 78, his wife Mary Hall died 1856 aged 85 and also Ann Oliver, wife of Thomas Turnbull died 1882, Jedburgh aged 83.

Incidentally my avatar is my gt. grandfather also named Thomas Turnbull but no relation to yours that I know of. He was born Ingleton, Durham.

"Shirley-I'm getting the hang of it"
Thanks a lot. 1851 Scotland Census showed me everything.
And cross reference with andrew's age followed by his death certificate of 1881, proves that that was the family.

"Chris Ho" thanks, interesting could maybe find some family on Ann's side.

"Maddie" thanks, but wrong family - missing an Andrew born around 1833

Thanks everyone else, much appreciated

"Maddie" sorry it looks like you were right.
In the 1861 census Adam moved back in with his parents together with his wife Elizabeth and their son Thomas (1 year old).
Obviously Andrew had left home and therefore doesn't figure in the '61 census.
So many thanks.
