Does anyone have access to any archives of newspapers in Cheltenham.

A friend in Australia emailed me to say that I would find out some information about one of my Great Gt Gt Grandfather Levi Weaver b.1799 in Knighton on Teme, Worcestershire. The article is about his death and the reason for his death.

I know from records that he died in Cheltenham but very little else.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Nala.

I have not been able to find him on the 1861 census or is it that I just don't look hard enough !!

Erika H,

Thanks for this extra info. I now have a Marriage date too.

Kind regards to you both. Nala. :-)

ErikaH,

I have seen this 1861 entry many times over the past 10 years and discounted but kept it in a separate file. perhaps I should have more confidence and challenge what I come across.

Thank you for helping me out with this one. Thirlestaine House is interesting if you look at it on Street View on Google Maps.

From the 1851 Ellen Weaver is my line.

Regards from Nala.
