Find Ancestors

I am researching the following for a friend:-
William Henry Wisden b 3 Jun 1917, Wimbledon. My friend is particularly interested in William's RAF history. There appears to be a record for him in the 1939 register that may help, but also any tips on researching RAF records would also be appreciated. I currently don't have William's service number, but hope to have it soon.

My sincere apologies. William's surname should read Henden. Sorry for wasting people's time. Yes, he is on FreeBMD Sep 1917, Kingston district. MMN was Wimbledon. Really sorry!
