Hull railway Museum.

Trying to find out History of Hull Railway Museum. I under stand It was bombed May 7th 1941. have been told There's something in The Manchester Guardian Feb 25 1933 about a Railway Exhibition Page 8. Don't have excess to Manchester paper Any help much appreciated P.S. Its location ??

Railway Museum (1933)

The Railway Museum opened on Paragon Street in 1933 displaying some of the railway collections from the Museum of Commerce and Transport. Having once worked with the railway Sheppard had always been a collector of objects relating to railway history. More than 250 exhibits were lost when the museum was destroyed by an air raid on 8th May 1941.

Hull Railway Museum
In connection with the new Railway Museum at Paragon Station, which will be opened to the public on Saturday morning next, a number of invitations have been issued to a private view for the afternoon previously.
A luncheon is being provided at the Royal Station Hotel, at which many distinguished visitors will be present.

RAIL TRAVEL IN TRUCKS ORIGINATION OF THE "HAT ROOM"
Exhibits which which tell the story railways from their Inception are in the Hull municipal railway museum, which was opened by the Lord Mayor, Ald. J. M. Dossor. Mr Thomas Sheppard, director of the Corporation Museums and organizer of the exhibition, recalled that in the early days near the Paragon Station an old room known as the Hat Room provided for the storing of hats blown from the heads of passengers in the third class railway trucks...

I've just found out the person I was helping was looking for a list of the 250 items that were lost when the railway museum was bombed. Any clues?? "Hat Room" was interesting . also believe railway museum was were the lost property office is now but not confirmed looking for a photo.
