Find Ancestors

Thomas Race was baptised 1805 at Aycliffe Co Durham. Parents William and Mary. I am trying to find his first marriage to a Sarah (???) which I think may have taken place at Rainton, Houghton le Spring, Co Durham between 1828 - 1830 ish. On the 1851 census for St Giles, Durham it states Sarah is from Gloucestershire. This is from family search. On the 1851 census their son Robert is 19 (can't find his baptism). Sarah dies 1856 at Houghton Le Spring registration district. Thomas remarries Tamar Gibson (a widow). I think they may have married in the Chapel at Rainton. Does anyone have access to Methodist records? Any help appreciated.
