Miriam Born 1847 Coggs, Oxfordshire - set sail January 1901
Kate - Born 1879 Dewsbury set sail January 1901
Clifford – Born 1883 Dewsbury Set sail July 1895
Annie – Born 1885 Dewsbury set sail January 1901
Jesse - Born 1890 Dewsbury set sail January 1901

I am trying without too much success to find out what happened to these people. They set sail for Australia and I haven’t ‘seen’ them since :-( Did they stay there or did they come back home to England.
Did the girls marry which is why I can’t find them and who? ARRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH :-|

Any help would be nice.

Oh, their last name is Brotherton

Can anyone view this record on ancestry?

UK, Royal Hospital Chelsea Pensioner Soldier Service Records, 1760-1920
DRAFT, ENLISTMENT AND SERVICE
NAME: Clifford Brotherton
BIRTH: abt 1884 - Doncaster Yorkshire

..........when you click on the record it doesn't show the correct name but would be interesting to see what it says as there seems to be only one Clifford Brotherton born in England at the correct time so could very well be him.
I don't seem to have the correct membership to view.

Thanks greyghost, wonder why ancestry has the name as Clifford then?

ArgyllGran Report 19 Mar 2018 18:06

Probably human error, Catherine.
Ancestry's not infallible, unfortunately.
