Member Since: March 2005 Posts: 895 Send Message	Can anyone explain this: I found two marriages for George Gosling and Judith Rich on findmypast. One was for 6 Oct 1776 and the other for 30 Aug 1783. The one in 1776 was a transcription and the one in 1783 was the actual image. Thanks.

	Could be that the first one was actually the Banns, and that they did not go through with the marriage. I have found several apparently duplicated marriages, with the transcript showing Marriage for both, when the earliest was the Banns You might have to try to find the actual image to determine whether it had been transcribed completely.

	They might have called off the marriage after the first Banns were called?
