Robert Hervey died and was buried in Montreux; we have all that from previous research. His very young widow returned to England and remarried to a widower Sydney Hawken, etc., etc.

a tree on ancestry has nothing for after 1901

An Ancestry tree has Robert Hervey died 1904 in Switzerland.
Dorothy remarried. The tree shows her in Cornwall with family in 1911. Could Maud have ventured in that direction if they were as close as you say?

If Mother and daughter were close, could Maud also have died abroad whilst travelling?
