Thanks Dea- that may have been where the Wilkins name came from. However, it is odd that Thomas was not Christened with his brothers in 1883.

Unless.......... perhaps he had been a 'sickly' child and had been baptised straight after his birth??

Can't find anything to prove that though so the mystery remains.
