Find Ancestors

I am a Lyth but trying to find a strand of the family from Yorkshire who I think I'm related to but can't find on my tree which goes back to John Lyth DD.

The people I'm looking for are:

John Lyth who had sons around early 1900-1925:
Charles
Leo
Frank
Arthur

Arthur (b around 1930) has son David (b around 1960)

*David who has son William Miles Lyth (b 1992)

The only certainty is this line *

I've tried looking for births on GRO Index, Freebmd, and on the 1939 Register, but we need more information to determine "your" Leo, Arthur, etc from the others!

Where in Yorkshire did "your" Lyths live, and where do you think these Lyths live?

You need to establish who john Lyth married so as to get the mums maiden name to find the right births for the sons

How have you got to the names you are looking for ??

You are giving approx birth years so think you need to get some certs for ages and fathers names

For instance actual birth date and parents names for david

He married in 1989 to Hughes

I don't see a Lyth/Curtis marriage. Perhaps the mother had been married before ?

the other children's names don't match what you've posted - so must be a different family.

Interesting (although irrelevant to Catherine's query! ) - Frances born 1925 Hemsworth - mms Micklefield, not Curtis.
William H, born Hemsworth 1931 - also mms Micklefield.

But Vera 1928 - mms Curtis.

This is where I got hung up last night .................

I could find some of the children with one mmn, but not all.

Helmsworth and Whitby seemed to be the centre for most of the births, but Sculcoates was also there.
