Any help with this please Reginald Kenneth Saunders born 1918 Lewisham London Died 2001 Australia. He went out to Australia in 1951. New South Wales Occupation Electrician. Any death notice would be good or any other information for him in Australia. I have seen the passengers leaving UK list on Ancestry for 1951.His marriage(s) in UK had ended, but it is possible he may have re married in Australia, any death notice might help with that . Thank you all for your continued hard work Pam

Surely you need to look at the same sites as for your other request

https://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards/board/ancestors/thread/1377066

Have you considered ordering a copy of his death cert?

I will order the death certificate but not sure how I do that from UK Thanks Pam

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 30 Apr 2019 13:27

It’s not so easy to order recent certificates as it is in the UK
“ If you are a relative not listed on the certificate, the certificate can be issued to you if the deceased had no living spouse, children or parents.”

For full information, click on the Application for Death Certificates pdf link on the following
https://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/Pages/about-us/application-forms.aspx

Other States have different restrictions.

Doesn’t look as if wife & child accompanied him. From the wording, it doesn’t look as if they had divorced when the application was made.

SAUNDERS, Reginald Kenneth (Navy Service No.: C/MX 78953) born in London on 23 July 1918; Wife: May Ellen SAUNDERS; Son: Barry SAUNDERS - Application dated: Sydney, 17 January 1946]

The file is ‘open’ & a copy can be purchased for AUD 23.35

No idea if his DOD & next of kin would have been added.

Reginald K Saunders married May Ellen Grimshaw in 1941. He was involved in another relationship in 1947/8. before he went to Australia.
Thanks for all your help Pam

It was on the Immigration & Nationalisation section of the Australian National Archives
http://www.naa.gov.au/collection/search/index.aspx

Click on Record Search, underlined in blue in the text.
Select the Name Search tab
Input names
Scroll down to Immigration & naturalisation

It’s also a useful site to search for military records.
