Member Since: April 2007 Posts: 883 Send Message	hi i have on my tree stephen mummery born 1758 married to mary white i have 3 children Susanna,mary Ann, George sussanna b 1786 Mary 1787 and george 1789 another relative have more children on their tree need to confirm that the extra children he has are correct ? from the parents i have looked but cannot seem to find any help would be grateful thanks Gill

	There are a number of Great Chart baptisms on https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_queries/new?locale=en Some of them have a different mother - perhaps that's where the confusion has arised? There's a possibility that they may have found some with the name spelt differently, such as Mummary. Remember that the majority of people would have been illiterate & that the priest would have written it down from a verbal response.
