Thank you all for your assistance. I really appreciate. It I HAD gone through the other thread prior to posting. Yet so NO information regarding Edith and Margaret's brother Harold (Harry) nor his marriage or regarding his 3 children. I have managed to find the information on his children's names since then . Harold III, Roy and Terry. I have not been able to find DOB or other information YET. I have as of yet been unable to locate any information of his wife. I am THRILLED to have discovered the names of his sons. It explains pictures that I have come across with "Terry and Roy" simply written on the back! I will be adding the pictures to the site soon.

Re Stella (birth posted by Rose) -

she may have married in 1968 in Warrington (though no middle initial shown).

If so, she is on the current ER for Warrington, with her husband. Also their son with them in 2002-3.

Not looking for credit, AG. Just pointing out that the info was there!

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 20 Jul 2019 13:21

Yes, sorry, Kimberly.
I meant "the" other thread, not "your" other thread.

And sorry, Erika, for not crediting you with Henry in 1939, etc.

I didn't trawl through the whole long thread - just picked out Edith and Margaret's births and their parents' marriage, then found the rest myself, as that was quicker than reading the thread.

The other thread is not Kimberly’s. She merely added to it

I posted 1939 for Henry on there - and Edith’s death. And their marriage record

Not sure why Kimberly says there is no info!!

Perhaps she doesn’t realise that FH is primarily about doing it oneself

Possibly Henry in 1901:

Henry Searle
in the 1901 England Census
Name: Henry Searle
Age: 18
Estimated birth year: abt 1883
Relation to Head: Boarder
Gender: Male
Birth Place: London, England
Civil Parish: Warrington
Ecclesiastical parish: Holy Trinity
Town: Warrington
County/Island: Lancashire
Country: England
Street address:
Occupation: General labourer
Registration district: Warrington
Sub-registration district: Warrington
ED, institution, or vessel: 03
Neighbors:
Piece: 3578
Folio: 51
Page Number: 25
Household schedule number: 129
Household Members:
Name Age
Francis Worrall 50
Harrett Worrall 48
William Parton 17
Marra Parton 15
Henry Searle 18
George Stoker 50

Going by the scant info of birth c1883 in "London" - pretty vague - this is MAYBE Henry in 1891:

Henry Searl
in the 1891 England Census
Name: Henry Searl
Gender: Male
Age: 8
Relationship: Son
Birth Year: 1883
Father: Henry Searl
Mother: Aime Searl
Birth Place: Brixton, Surrey, England
Civil Parish: Hendon
Residence Place: West Hendon, Hendon, Middlesex, England
Sub registration district: Hendon
ED, Institution or Vessel: 2
Neighbors:
Piece: 1049
Folio: 56
Household Members:
Name Age
Henry Searl 40
Aime Searl 30
Henry Searl 8
Daniel Searl 6
Eliza Searl 4
George Searl 2
Annie Searl 7/12

Probably his birth - at least he's the only Henry Searle with no middle name born in London in 1882-4:

SEARLE, HENRY mms BLACKEBY
GRO Reference: 1883 M Quarter in LAMBETH Volume 01D Page 379

But - births of the possible siblings from the census above:

SEARLE, GEORGE WILLIAM AYERS
GRO Reference: 1890 D Quarter in MUTFORD Volume 04A Page 839

SEARLE, DANIEL AYERS
GRO Reference: 1884 M Quarter in MUTFORD & LOTHINGLAND Volume 04A Page 889

I don't see a Henry born with mms Ayers or similar - nor do I see a marriage of his father to any Ayers.

Marriage of Henry's parents:

Marriages Sep 1882 (>99%)
Backeby Charlotte Holborn 1b 1168
Blackeby Charlotte Holborn 1b 1168
Searle Henry Holborn 1b 1168

I don't see Charlotte's death before 1886, nor do I see Henry and Charlotte together in 1891, so maybe they had separated, and Henry therefore couldn't marry Aime.
(IF the 1891 census I posted for the family is the correct one.)

You only said you were looking for "any family information ",
and that you are "having a difficult time finding DOB's on family members " .

Can you be more specific about which family members you mean, please?

MarieCeleste posted the probable birth records of Edith and Margaret on your [ EDIT: sorry, "the", not "your" ] other thread in 2013, showing that their mother's maiden surname was Roberts.
There are no births for them in Warrington.

Copied again here for ease of reference:

Births Mar 1921
Searle Edith Roberts Runcorn 8a 364

Births Jun 1925
Searle Margaret E Roberts Runcorn 8a 319

You already know their parents' names.
Also on your other thread, Patchem posted what is probably their parents' marriage, although a long time before their births:

Marriages Dec 1904
Dickinson John William Warrington 8c 256
Hayes Arabella Warrington 8c 256
xxx Roberts Edith Warrington 8c 256
xxx Searle Henry Warrington 8c 256

Edith Roberts
in the England, Select Marriages, 1538–1973
Name: Edith Roberts
Gender: Female
Marital status: Single
Age: 24
Birth Date: 1880
Marriage Date: 5 Nov 1904
Marriage Place: Parish Church of Warrington, Lancashire, England
Father: Charles Roberts <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Spouse: Henry Searle
FHL Film Number: 1562974
Reference ID: v 66, p44, #88

So Edith's father was Charles, and Henry's was also called Henry.
Edith was 24, therefore born c1880, and Henry was 21, so born c1883.

Looks like Henry in 1939 :

Henry Searle
in the 1939 England and Wales Register
Name: Henry Searle
Gender: Male
Marital status: Widowed
Birth Date: 20 Dec 1882
Residence Year: 1939
Address: 15
Residence Place: Warrington, Lancashire, England
Occupation: Bailer Stoker Heary Worker
Schedule Number: 58
Sub Schedule Number: 1
Enumeration District: NZRJ
Registration district: 459 A/2
Household Members:
Name
Henry Searle

Edith with parents and siblings in 1901:

Edith Roberts
in the 1901 England Census
Name: Edith Roberts
Age: 21
Estimated birth year: abt 1880
Relation to Head: Daughter
Gender: Female
Father: Charles Roberts
Mother: Hannah Roberts
Birth Place: Marford, Denbighshire, Wales
Civil Parish: Warrington
Ecclesiastical parish: St Elphin
Town: Warrington
County/Island: Lancashire
Country: England
Registration district: Warrington
Sub-registration district: Warrington
ED, institution, or vessel: 42
Neighbors:
Piece: 3583
Folio: 154
Page Number: 29
Household schedule number: 170
Household Members:
Name Age
Charles Roberts 45
Hannah Roberts 44
Mary E Roberts 23
Charles Roberts 21
Edith Roberts 21
Bertha Roberts 19
Arthur Roberts 17
Mabel Roberts 15
Percy Roberts

So, assuming she had no middle name, this will be her birth:

ROBERTS, EDITH mms POVER

I am looking for any family information for Margaret E. Searle Born 1925 in Warrington to Edith Roberts and Henry Searle. She had a sister also named Edith. No DOB information although I do know she married an Albert Robinson and had at least one child. A daughter (DOB UNK) named Stella. I know my grandmother (Margaret) was a war time bride and left for America July 30, 1947 flying on Pan AM. (She was originally scheduled to sail to America on the Queen Mary with my mother, Doreen Braga age 4. I don't know why she changed her plans. I am having a difficult time finding DOB's on family members. :-(
