Searching for Richard Gill born 1826 Wrexham, Denbigshire, Wales and wife Jane Davies born 1829 Shropshire, England. their daughter Mary born 1858 Herefordshire, England married my great grandfather Nicholas Podesta born 1850 Albaro, Genoa, Italy. he came over to England age 12 in the early 1860s. His father Giuseppe (Joseph) was a Mason. Nicholas on his second marriages in 1898 states his father was named Joe who I am also trying to find in England. Any help to find further information would be appreciated.

PODESTA.
Many people in the district will regret to learn of the death of Mr. Nicholas Podesta. of Courtsmount Road. Mr. Podesta, who was 83 was by occupation a travelling machinist, who had done work on many large estates in various parts of the country. Born in Italy, he came to England when 13, and he had been well known in Haslemere district for at least 50 years. He was a skilled workman who specialised in mowing machines, and Lord Leconfield of Petworth Park, and Viscount Cowdray of Midhurst, were among the prominent people who regularly employed him. He also had a large connection in the Southampton district, and travelled a good deal all over the country.
Mr. Podesta was a talkative man, who liked to relate his experiences and to speak about the many interesting people he had met. He is survived by one daughter, and one son, Mr. Peter Podesta, who lost his legs in the war.
