Thank you all for your help,it is clear her intention was a one way trip - one must presume she passed away there.

That record for Annie Gibson 1899 says she's going to her daughter Mrs West, South Westminster, BC.

I think it 's just a misreading of her age. On the image it's unclear whether it's 31 or 51.

She was Roman Catholic, and had $100 with her.
She paid her own passage, and was intending to remain permanently in Canada.

Nearest relative in UK: Mr Gibson, husband.
Address: 37 (?) Monks Pond Street, Northampton

She was 5ft 5ins, fair complexion, grey eyes, light grey hair.

What is your question?

Danetree

Danetree Report 12 Feb 2020 21:13

Born in Northampton 1869.Sailed from Liverpool 28/1/1920 aboard the ship Metagama to New Brunswick.
Known to have children living in New Westminster Surrey Br Columbia. She was intending to stay with daughter Emma and husband Helmer West.
Annie never returned to Northampton. Although her granddaughter has searched for some years it remains a mystery.
Thanking you in advance for your help.
