Hi,

A friend is looking to find the above chap's Mother's name.

He was born in Scotland 18 Jan 1964 and died 28 Jun 2017 in Poole, Dorset.

She is convinced he belongs to her Hadley line but as he was born in Scotland she has no way of finding his Mother's details.

She has been contacted by an heir hunting company....

Help please if you can.

Thanks

Sue

There is no such birth in Scotland.

The only Stuart Brian born in Scotland in 1964 was a McEwan, born in Dunoon.

If, by some chance , this is the same person, the only way to check his exact DOB, and find mother's name, would be to buy a copy of the birth cert via Scotland's People website.

However, this isn't possible at the moment, during lockdown.

Stuart Hadley's "unclaimed estate" details:

The heir hunting company must have worked back to your friend somehow.
They won't have picked her name at random.

What details have they given her about her relationship to him?

There was a Stuart Hadley (no middle name) born in Glasgow in 1969 , and another in 1970 - but again, no way of knowing the mother's name without the birth cert..

AG,

Maybe also try Stewart?

Sorry it's taken me ages to get back here.

Thanks for the replies.

The company didn't really give her too much information, they are not allowed to divulge the name of the deceased. By subtle questioning she came to the conclusion that this is the chap they were referring to.

She has Hadley m Heywood but that would have to skip a generation for the dates to fit in with a birth in 1964.

If this chap fits as a grandson of Hadley/Heywood then she hasn't found his parents.

All rather tenuous because she has at least 29 persons who may be entitled if she is.

Thanks for trying, I really appreciate it and will pass this on.

Rose -
yes, already tried Stewart, Bryan, and "fuzzy matching" of Hadley and both first names. Also first name(s) without surname, and surname without first names.

Also now tried Heywood and variants in light of Sue's reply - no luck.

Thanks ArgyllGran and Rose

Bit of a mystery isn't it?

I think she'll have to 'go with the flow' and see what the company comes up with. She doesn't envisage booking a cruise..lol

Aaaah that could well be him. Thanks.

I wonder what problems had plagued him?

Beginning to wonder if he was adopted TBH.

Or maybe changed his name for some reason - maybe if trying to start a new life.

He was given a Council funeral, as there was no NOK to claim the body:

Very sad.

Just for interest,
another possible sighting of him, suggested to me by someone else by PM -

Mr Stuart Hadley
in the UK, Electoral Registers, 2003-2010
Name: Mr Stuart Hadley
Residence Date: 2003
Address: 125, Albert Road South, SO14 3FR

That's the address of the Society of St James, which helps homeless people.
