Marriage of James Boakes and Hannah unknown - Kent

This couple had two children baptised in Eynsford, Kent, in 1803 William and in 1805 Mary Ann. On the day of Mary Ann's baptism another couple Richard Rivers and Sarah Rivers had their son Thomas baptised. There were the only two baptisms on that day. In 1807 in Shoreham, Kent, about three miles from Eynsford, Hannah Boakes had her daughter Sophia baptised, no father was named. James didn't have a sister named Hannah.

From research I believe that Richard Rivers was Sophia's father. Hannah and Richard went on to have six more children including my gt. grandfather Richard Rivers, born 1821 in Greenwich.

What I need is the marriage of James and Hannah to find her maiden name. Cannot find the marriage of Ancestry, Find my Past, Familysearch, or FreeReg.

Hope someone has more resources or better eye sight!

Hi Shirley - its just the marriage of James and Hannah that I am stuck on. However when Richard Rivers married Sarah Wood in Deptford, 1801, they claimed to be widower and widow. There is also no trace of a previous marriage for Richard so probably lots of the Kent records are not yet transcibed or are lost. James Boakes seems to have re-married in about 1813.

What has been useful in my research is that in the records of St. Mary's, Lewisham, at about that time, the place of birth is sometimes recorded. If only the Dade index system had been more widely adopted how much easier it would be been.
