Hi,

Would anyone be able to search the 1939 register please?

I'm looking for my great uncle Ernest Cecil Elkins born 1910 Southampton. He married my great aunt Agnes Beatrice Elizabeth Elkins (nee Morgan) born 1914 Southampton. They married on 8.4.1939 in Bitterne, Southampton.

Many thanks

Although the 1911 census says Robert Churcher is Florence's brother, I think he may be a first cousin once removed, but maybe they were brought up together for a while and she thought of him as a brother, as this is them in the 1901 census (Robert seems to be the grandson of Florence's aunt and uncle):-

1901 England, Wales & Scotland Census
46, Dock Street, Southampton, Southampton St Mary, Hampshire, England

First name(s) Last name Relationship Marital status Sex Age Birth year Occupation Birth place

Cecil Doel Head Married Male 54 1847 Dock Labourer Owslebury, Hampshire, England
Sarah Doel Wife Married Female 53 1848 - Owslebury, Hampshire, England
Florence Doel Niece Single Female 17 1884 Cleaning Officer At General P O Southampton Winchester, Hampshire, England<<<<<<<
William May Brother-In-Law Widower Male 59 1842 Labourer Upham, Hampshire, England
Robert Churcher Grand Son - Male 7 1894 - Eastleigh, Hampshire, England<<<<<<

Ah I was just wondering about that as Florence's maiden name of Doel didn't tie in with Churcher.

Brilliant extra information for me to add to the tree.
Thank you everso x
