Where Joseph Dixon c1814 was born finding his parents and siblings I know he married Charlotte Wilson in 1835 Binbrook on the census years I have him born Stewton Ailesbury both Lincs, but wondered what sites I could maybe find him apart from census info? Many ?? thanks

1851 census suggests a birth somewhat earlier than you say.

Why would the census place say he was born Stewton and another Ailesby? I think the Joseph born South Cockerington could be a likely I will have to try and get to the archives many thanks for your help

The census records the information given to the enumerator by the householder. The people compiling the censuses had to write down what they were told.

If they were given inaccurate info it wasn’t their fault

The man in question was born no later than early 1814 if his age on censuses is accurate

I found the baptism of Joseph on Findmypast.

There is this baptism of a William Dickson (spelling was very fluid in those days) with father Thomas and mother Elizabeth:-
