I found a regular Army certificate of service book at collectors fair and I am trying to get it back to any living relative that would like it, so this is not a request for a lookup on an ancestor of mine

The person's name is Anthony Hopkins, he was born in 1935 his army number is 22957271 he enlisted in Bradford on 28th May 1953

it would be nice to reunite this book, any help much appreciated

I have tried on Ancestry without success

Thank you

Unfortunately, his joining up in Yorkshire doesn’t necessarily mean that he was born there

I joined up in Edinburgh - I was born in Lancashire

His service record should indicate which Corps/Regiment he served with

Have you thought of trying Forcesreunited? If someone on there served with him, they may know family details

if the above birth is correct he had 2 brothers
alan born 1938 and brian born 1936 but brian sadly died 1936
alan may have married 1959 in halifax
