I have only been able to find him in the 1841 census: and yes it was Ancestry:

On Ancestry if you go to search all records it gives the baptism which gives the parents as Gabriel and Mary so I know that is correct and click on it and it gives other items to check one of which is migration It also gives a couple of deaths one in Dartford and one in Erith, so it is really a matter of trying to find which is correct: I thought that the migration might be correct as in 1851 some of his half siblings went to USA:

There are numerous baptisms for the name in 1807 - have you any reason for thinking the migration is 'your' Thomas?

There is a death record for one born in England - strangely, it's listed as the 1871 census

He died in April 1871 of Bilious Fever.

He was married - and a Miller by trade

Have you done any research with regard to census info in the UK?

I presume your strange reference to the website means ANCESTRY?

Hi All,
Can you help please?
I have a Thomas Finch born 1807 Bap 11 Jan 1807 Chatham Kent to parents, Gabriel Best Finch & Mary Teay
When I look on the site that begins with a capitol "A" I can find a Thomas that emigrated to Ontario Canada in 1871 shown as age 64 born 1807 but the site has no further details like the passenger list. There is nothing more to click on:
Also can not find any thing about Mary Teay apart from her marriage on 22 Feb 1802 at St Mary Magdalene Church Gillingham Kent: Got the marriage from City Ark site:
Any help will be most welcome:
