	This person was born approximately 1896 I believe in Ireland. His father was also called James Turkington and was a shoe maker. James married Kathleen Lyle in 1919 in Belfast.

	Where did you find his year of birth please? There is a James Turkington born in Belfast in 1900. EDIT I see that he gave his age as 23 when he married.
