I'm needing a bit of help to find more info on this fellow.(My GGGGGrandfather).Censuses state he was born c1798,Newport,Hampshire,Isle of Wight. In 1834 is living at Cawood,Lancashire as a husbandman,in 1836 he is a wand weaver-don,t know what this is.In 1841 he is living in Arkholme (near Lancaster) In 1843 he is the chapel clerk. In 1846 he is named as a wandweaver again. In 1851 he was the enumerator for the Arkholme census.Apparently he was also a basket maker. In 1861 he is still in Arkholme, aged 63,a basket maker & also census enumerator.I can find nothing-as yet, regarding his parentage.
I cannot find any record of his birth or baptism. He was married in 1833 in Arkholme to Ellen Brown.
He appears to have died in 1869.
I'm trying (for many years now) to establish his parentage.Any help much appreciated.

No baptism online

You will probably have to visit - or contact - the Hampshire RO

Don't know whether there is any slight clue in Isabella's second forename - Dean
