Doris was illegitimate, so she wouldn’t have known her father’s name

If your nephew is interested in his FH, he should get Doris’s birth cert so that he can at least follow her maternal line

The marriage certificate would have both fathers names or a gap if there was no father.

Thanks, do you think it's best to get the marriage certificate as that should have both on, I think

Have you tried Googling.?
There will be explanations of how to find Dr Barbados records. The National Archives would have naturalisation records if that happened.
Polish records will be in Poland unless on Family Search and you would probably need to know where in Poland the family came from.
Certificates will give you lots of information. Petros’marriage certificate will give you his fathers name.

Certs are the only answer, I’m afraid.

For both sides - Doris’s mother’s name, and Petro’s father’s.

Hi, I am looking into my nephews dad side of the family. His grandad was called Petro Oczkas born 14th April 1922 we were told from Poland. He married a Doris Poultney born 18th April 1930 from Dudley. They married in Kettering Northants in 1951 and had 2 children and we also found a still born. They later changed their surname to Allen. Petro died in 1976 and Doris died 2007. Doris mother was down as Poultney so couldn't of been married at the time of birth. We were told Doris was put into Doctor Barnardos children's home when she was a baby. We were also told Petro was a twin but I cant seem to find any info on his family at all. Also don't know a lot of background on Doris. If anyone has any spare time could you take a look and see if you can find any more information than i can find. I will at some point order certificates to get more info but just seeing if there is anything more online 1st. Thanks
