Hildegard was the maternal great grandmother of my grandaughter. She was born 28th May 1921 at Luneburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. She was listed as the widow of Wilhelm Heckman b. 3rd October 1918 at Ludenscheid, Westphalia, Germany, d. 1st November 1942 at Liegnitz, Dolnaslaskie, Poland. Hildegard married a soldier Joseph Thompson in 1947 at Klagenfurt, Carinthia, Austria in 1947 and then came to England with Joseph.
Thats all the information i have about Hildegard. I have not been able to obtain any information about her parents, or siblings, or when she married Wilhelm Heckman or if they had any children. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Her father’s name - if she knew it - will be on the 1947 marriage cert

Can we assume you’ve checked familysearch for possible info?

You can get the marriage cert from the gro

Specify its overseas and the format changes for the gro ref
