You might have to give a bit more information if anyone is to help you - Born when and where - lived in doesn't mean born in Did she marry in Cheltenham or moved to Worthing and then married? There is a 1975 marriage in Worthing RD of PAUL to a Gillian M but not Davis - you can find the information on this free site - https://www.freebmd.org.uk Then look for a marriage of a Gillian M Davis to that surname in 1972 in Cheltenham Too recent to put names here.

There is one in Cheltenham for a Gillian M Davis and the site will show her Mother's maiden name. There is then a marriage 1947 to fit, but in Bromley, Kent which will then give you her Mother's names. In turn you can look for births etc. A copy of the 1947 marriage certificate will give Cyril and Dione's ages and the names and occupations of their Fathers.

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 10,496 Send Message	If the correct birth and parents marriage her Mother was Dione C W Baseley - listing as a death shows in Cheltenham RD 2010 born 11.2.1924 Dionne Cynthia Davis Picking up a probate listing for a Cyril Walter Davis in Gloucestershire died 1999, probate 2000 - nothing to say definitely him though https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk The date of death given would fit a Cyril Walter Davis who died in Q4 1999 Truro RD, Cornwall (on holiday, visiting). Says born 21.1.1922 Possible births for that Cyril Surname First name(s) Mother District Vol Page Births Mar 1922 (>99%) Davis Cyril W Joy Wimborne 5a 369 Davis Cyril W Miles Cheltenham 6a 745

	gillian's first marriage was to Newcombe 2nd marriage to paul 1975 looks like first husband married again 1976

	In case Catherine has posted on the wrong board, and is actually hoping to make contact with Gillian, I've PM'd a possible 2018 address, deduced from publicly available info on ERs, FreeBMD, and Google. Also the usual warnings in case it's a family matter. ADDED - 29/12/20 : Received PM of thanks from Catherine. Gillian was her bridesmaid 50 years ago. I hope the 2018 address proves useful, Catherine.
