Hello I am trying to trace my paternal ancestors, the Valks family.
I have managed to trace Henry Valks back to 1620 but am looking to go further.
Rumour is they originated from Holland and settled in a place called Little Holland in Lincoln where they were dykers and basket weavers.
There is a line of the Henry Valks living in Sedgefield dating from the 1600s.
Any information gratefully received.
Thank You
Fiona Valks

It is highly unlikely that any member of the Valks family would spot your post.
Use the search members tree option - there are 15 pages of Valks on there. You Nan then try and contact the tree owners direct.

Try familysearch if you haven't already done so

To have got back to 1620, you must know where Henry was born

Valks is probably an anglicised version of the name
