Many thanks much appreciated.

I have Elizabeth and John Pilbrow in the 1851 census living in Cambridgeshire. Elizabeth was born c1830 in Eversden Cambridgeshire according to this census. It looks like they had 2 children John born 1850 Caxton died 1850 Caxton
and Ann Maria born 1852 Cambridge.

There is an unmarried John Pilbrow born c1828 in Cambridgeshire,Bootmaker, living in Lambeth Surrey in 1861 which I think is the same John born c1828 in Woolpit Suffolk but I can't see any sign of Elizabeth or Ann Maria anywhere.
Please can anyone take a look and see if they can find these two anywhere?

Yes Erika I think you might well be right about Elizabeth either dying or disowning John. Thanks to your post about his criminal record I've been able to locate a newspaper article covering the crime, so a BIG THANKS for that also.

An after thought! IF the 1861 census for John is correct then they must have parted company before his crime in 1865

The man on 1861 was a Bootmaker, which is the correct occupation.

No record anywhere of the daughter other than her birth

Yes and as his mother married in Cambridge and he lived there in 1841 and 1851 and the fact that his stepfather and sister moved to Lambeth Surrey (they actually married each other after his wife died in 1850) makes me think that he is John Osborne Pilbrow
