I was hoping it was still Malley West. She died on 20-3-1883 aged 71 so should be on the census somewhere
Also can't find Thomas West who in 1871 & 1891 was at 74 Manchester Road Castleton but can't find him in 1881

That fills in my census gaps nicely. I would never have thought of Mattie!!
I have got everything else in the main on the family. Just trying to fill in the odd gaps.
The problem with searching is that sometimes it is Lancashire , sometimes Yorkshire and their ages vary from census to census even though i have a lot of their actual birth dates from the baptism records
