Find Ancestors

Mary Ann was my great grandmother and she married Alexander Yale in 1881, they had at least 7 children including my grandmother Elsie Yale. I am struggling to find any ancestors for Mary Ann as Jones is a very common surname. I had originally thought that her father was called Francis but this now seems as though this could be wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
